Appealing DC Judgment to U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals

Notice of Appeals from a Judgment or Order of a U. S. District Court (Form 1) must be filed in the District Court where the judgment or order was issued.

The Notice (Form 1) must be filed within 30 days of issuance of District Court Judgment or Order.

Sometimes the final District Court Judgment or Order is entered a few weeks after DC Judge’s decision is issued.

The Notice (Form 1) should be filed at the District Court with the fee of $605, payable to the District Court, in money order, check, or (if in person) by credit cards.

The Notice (Form 1) should also accompany the Form 6: Representation Statement.
